ABOUT THE DESIGN
Years ago when I was teaching a class of students from around the world, the topic of beauty came up. I was surprised to learn of the different ideas women from different cultures had about their own beauty. The women who had grown up in oppressive societies explained that they felt like they were ugly, even when they were young women. Women from more accepting cultures talked about feeling attractive. These ladies felt this way no matter what they actually looked like on the outside.
Beauty is so important to women and yet I’ve learned through the years that we really need to feel beautiful from the inside out. This is even more important in our era where impossible, airbrushed images are being pushed on girls and teens all over the world.
It’s time for us to send a healthier message about beauty. You have the power to make your life beautiful, no matter how smooth your skin is or how slender your waist. If you haven’t learned this lesson yet, please commit to this important goal: confidently building a beautiful life. You deserve to have your beauty shine.
